We decided to beat the heat for a few hours, a couple weekends ago, and go ice-skating. It was so much fun and we were all really tired and sore the next day. Kylee and Megan ride have Rollerblades that they ride at home so as you can imagine it was ice-skating came pretty naturally to them. Megan was by far the bravest of us all and loved to skate as fast as she could. We soon learned that holding hands with her just ended up being more dangerous than just letting her go on her own. She was hard to keep up with, for me at least. Tyler was very unsure about the whole thing at the beginning and thought he was done after the first 5 minutes. By the end of the night he became a pro at walking in his ice-skates. He even got a comment from someone, just putting on there shoes, saying how well he was walking in them. He was also getting a little more confident on the ice by the end of the night too. The rink rented these little walker things to help little kids learn to skate and by the end he was getting pretty good at skating with just the walker. I will apologize in advance some of the pictures are a bit blurry but it is not easy to take pictures of moving objects while you yourself are moving, even the slightest bit, because you are standing on ICE.
Here are some pictures of Tyler's progression through the night:

That sounds really fun! What a perfect activity to do in the heat of the desert.
